World Wide Technology Advanced Technology Center
Mechanical Solutions was selected to design/install the HVAC systems for the World Wide Technology Labs As A Service Data Center building in St. Louis, MO. The existing building renovation consists of an N + 1 redundant chilled water system, with plug-and-play expansion for future growth and no system down time. Multiple chillers and pumps drive this system, which contains propylene glycol for freeze protection, and a 15,000 gallon underground chilled water buffer/storage tank, all combine to provide continuous and reliable chilled water delivery for maximum data center uptime. MSI received and installed forty (40) owner-furnished in-row coolers in the data center spaces, completing the N + 1 redundancy at the rack level. All equipment is integrated into the building automation system, allowing for complete monitoring and facilities management from remote locations. MSI was responsible for all scanning, 3-d modeling, clash detection and coordination for all trades.
